Beauty products now allowed for male inmates

TOKYO >> The Justice Ministry is allowing male inmates to purchase or be given beauty items and a few other products that traditionally have been allowed only for female inmates. Daily necessities such as clothing, bedding, towels and writing materials are loaned or provided at prisons and other penal institutions. Prisoners also can purchase items for daily use with money they deposited with the institutions when they were imprisoned, or receive such items from their families and others. L’Oréal Paris Names Mary Fowler Brand Ambassador

The beauty brand announced on March. 4 that Australian football star Mary Fowler is its new brand ambassador. Her debut with L’Oréal came a week after helping the Australia women’s national football team secure its spot in the upcoming Olympics. Fowler will promote the brand’s products and women’s empowerment initiatives in campaigns focused on Australia and New Zealand. L’Oréal is not the only French brand with an Olympics-related sponsorship deal ahead of the games this summer.
